We are looking for
a reliable and organized Stock Control Assistant/ PI Operative to join our
team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to
detail who can think outside the box and enjoys working in a fast-paced
warehouse or retail environment.
Prime objective of the role:
To maintain the
accuracy of stock held in the depot, by completing a 20-day PI cycle along with
day-to-day management of products within the warehouse, including date
sensitive goods.
Role activity:
As part of this role,
you will be responsible for counting stock checking best-before dates (BBD) and
inspecting the condition of stock held in pick and bulk locations. You will ensure
Warehouse Management System (WMS) is kept up to date and investigate, resolve
any discrepancies.
Check any Hub &
Spoke and Inter-Branch Transfer (IBT) discrepancies do credits and invoicing,
liaise with other departments, depots and suppliers responding to all enquiries
both internal and external in a timely manner, deal with damaged stock and
customer returns.
Action any Quarantine activity as requested.
Provide support and
assistance as required to the Stock Manager/Stock Team Manager.
Candidate requirements:
Previous experience
in stock control, warehousing, or inventory management is preferred but not
essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. We are
looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team, with a
positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Problem solving and
good communication skills are essential, as well as flexibility, strong attention
to detail and accuracy.
The person will
ideally have a forklift experience and have good PC skills, preferably
Excel/Microsoft Windows.
The role also
requires a certain amount of physical work, whilst time keeping and attendance
are prerequisites of the role.
