Salary:£12,660 (based on the minimum hours, if we both agree on a later finish time than 22:30 the salary would be adjusted and confirmed)
Job Purpose
The Warehouse Administrator is responsible for coordinating the release and flow of work across the warehouse, acting as the key communication link between Management, multiple depots, and warehouse staff. The role also covers administrative duties including invoicing, ensuring accurate records and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Work Release & Coordination
- Release work orders/jobs to the warehouse floor in a timely and accurate manner
- Prioritise and schedule tasks based on operational needs and deadlines
- Track work progress and update relevant systems/logs accordingly
Communication & Liaison
- Act as the primary point of contact between Management and Warehouse staff
- Provide clear, timely updates to Management across depots on job status, delays, or issues
- Escalate operational problems promptly to the appropriate manager
Warehouse Staff Support
- Distribute and explain work instructions to Warehouse staff clearly
- Answer staff queries regarding job requirements, priorities, or documentation
- Support staff with any administrative needs related to their tasks
Invoicing & Administration
- Prepare, process, and check invoices related to warehouse work/dispatches
- Maintain accurate records for billing, stock movement, and job completion
- Resolve invoice queries or discrepancies with relevant departments/depots
General Administration
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date warehouse records and databases
- Produce reports on work progress, invoicing status, or depot activity as required
- Support general office/admin duties as needed
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with staff and management at all levels
- Good IT skills (Excel, warehouse management systems, email)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritise workload and work under pressure
