Job Description – Hygiene Operative

We are looking for a dedicated Hygiene Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across equipment and production areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.

Key Responsibilities 

• Clean and sanitise production equipment and workspaces in accordance to hygiene schedules. 
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations. 
• Participate in the routine cleaning of the equipment and machinery within the production facility, which will include some manual handling and lifting to ensure production equipment is thoroughly cleaned. 
• Safe handling of chemicals.
• Completion of records in a timely manner. 
• Work with other team members to maintain a clean and organised environment. 
• Assist with the recycling process by operating recycling equipment. 

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning role and in a production environment is advantageous. (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
• Attention to detail and hands on approach.
• Reliable and punctual.
