We’re looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join our team on a maternity cover basis initially, with an exciting opportunity to support us through a new payroll system implementation. This is a great chance to bring your expertise, drive improvements, and help shape the future of our payroll function.
What you’ll be doing:
Managing the people in the payroll team, providing guidance and support, and deputising for team members by actioning more complex payroll processes, when necessary.
Ensuring the payroll team is up-skilled; either legislative requirements or process improvements and complete monthly 1-2-1 meetings.
Overseeing the monthly pay cycle process aspects of the payroll function, ensuring adherence to legislation, Company policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Processing and supervising the monthly pay runs for 6000 plus employees, including the confidential payroll group, transmitting all BACS and pay-overs including HMRC, pension, life cover and other benefit suppliers.
Working with the Head of Payroll to maintain, review and assess department KPI’s, including logging and monitoring pay issues, errors, rework in order to proactively learn from these and put robust solutions in place to future proof against further occurrences.
Supporting the Head of Payroll and members of the People Services team in our HR Transformation programme over the next few years and helping create a self-service culture that will make our managers lives easier through introducing new technology that will reduce manual administration and create efficiencies, and enabling our teams to focus on activities that add value.
