At Bidfood, we recognise that the quality of our Transport teams is instrumental to our success. Our Route
Planner makes sure all routes are planned in the most efficient and feasible way in line with legal requirements
and depot KPI’s using Paragon, Q Drop and Reflex. You will work closely with the Customer Service team/Transport
Management to ensure any failed, off route or service error recovery deliveries are re-routed efficiently and
achievable taking into account any customer requirements.
Planning according to legal Working Time Directive (WTD) requirements is an essential part of the role and making
sure vehicles are available for Safety inspections, MOTs and VOR remedial works. Liaising with the transport
management and de-brief team to ensure all routed vehicles are road worthy and fully compliant to undertake the
work required.
The use of Reflex will be required daily to complete daily master route maintenance including amending route
sequences, routing new customers and removing unused drops. Master data maintenance will form a large part of
the role including, Customer delivery windows, Drop rating, Maximum vehicle loads, Customer account groupings, Drop
& drive customers, Alternative delivery addresses, Postcodes and Waybill text.
To be successful in this role you’ll have good eye for detail and strong organisational skills, demonstrated analytical
investigation and administrative skills. You will need to be a team player and have a personable and collaborative
approach. Previous experience within a busy transport department is essential for this role along with Legal and
compliance knowledge (Tachograph and working time directive legislation). Finally, you should be able to work
