About the role

Accountabilities 
  • To debrief drivers ensuring data showing on Qdrop is complete questioning any anomalies (i.e. damages and shortages), and acting as a conduit for general communications between the drivers and management. 
  •  To compare driver start/finish time on QDrop with tacho and/or timesheets.
  •  To carry out visual vehicle checks and report damage.
  •  To convey salient information to the team regarding failed deliveries, shortages and returns.
  •  To take telephone calls and deal with enquiries as required.
  •  To brief driver to download driver card where applicable.
  •  Works as part of a team, to co-ordinate and control drivers but has no direct responsibility for distributing the workload.
  •  Communicate with the transport department to manage cage location and stock.
  •  Collate feedback from drivers on Vehicle load presentation and report to warehouse management for comment
Requirements
  • Computer literate – must be able to input data on spreadsheets, access the internet and send emails
  • Must be able to communicate effectively – this includes actively listening and clarifying salient points.
  • A working knowledge a busy transport department, this could include administration, or working as a driver
  • Understanding of the FTA regulations, particular emphasis on tachographs and working time.
  • Working knowledge of multi temperature / drop deliveries

This is predominantly an office based role, which requires excellent communication and listening skills. There may be some work in the yard, which involves visually checking vehicles for damage and general cleanliness.
