Play an important part in our journey
As a Buyer in Bidfood, you share responsibility for maximizing the long-term profitability of our products and establishing successful partnerships with our suppliers.
Responsible for purchasing a specific category of products, you will negotiate and influence prices and terms with your suppliers providing income for the business. Acting as the main partner to your suppliers, you will negotiate and deliver our annual promotional and advertising plans both regionally and nationally. As well as driving your suppliers’ performance to meet the required inbound service levels.
Working with our Supply Chain teams to ensure our suppliers enable us to operate in the most efficient and cost-effective way, through the best route-to-market and optimising our product range.
You will help implement strategic plans for long term growth in your category, working with your Category Manager to deliver innovative product range opportunities and new product development.
Using your category and market knowledge, you will always have one eye on supplier, market and competitor developments to maintain our competitive advantage, continually extracting value in all that we do.
It is a thrilling role that demands energy, organisation and hard work but it is hugely rewarding as you deliver tangible value for the business.
