As a Marketing Executive, you will support the creation and activation of marketing campaigns designed to increase market share, drive revenue and support our customers’ growth plans within the coffee and catering supplier categories.

The category teams are responsible for developing the category buying, marketing and sales strategies that reflect current trends, supporting our customers to grow and our sales teams to open, grow and retain business.

The role supports the team by creating and delivering innovative marketing plans, including ownership of the collateral assets, websites, as well as liaising effectively with suppliers to ensure product representation is accurate and up to date. You will work closely with the sales, commercial team and suppliers to develop your knowledge of the industry and become an expert in your field. You will have the freedom to research, scope and create campaigns from the start to the very end and we’ll give you the support you need to grow your skills and develop.

A bit about you

Experience of developing marketing or category campaigns is desirable, plus an appetite to learn and develop your marketing skills and category knowledge. An English or Marketing degree or similar qualification is also desired but relevant experience will also be considered.

Creativity and strong organisational skills are a must for this role. You’ll need to bring your creative flair to the development of marketing material and creativity in your approach to developing innovative solutions for the customer. You’ll also need to be highly organised to prioritise your workload, manage sales requests and drive your marketing plans at the same time. We work in a very deadline driven environment so it’s vital that you have a flexible and planned approach.

You will need to be a confident presenter and excellent relationship builder. This role gives you amazing exposure to players across the hospitality market and it is essential that you show-case your learned expertise to them.

You’ll also need to be a skilled wordsmith, copywriting is a fundamental part of the role so you’ll need to enjoy writing and have fantastic attention to detail, taking the time to proof your work thoroughly. The ability to work with a personable approach is also key. You will be working with multiple stakeholders and it is extremely important that these stakeholders buy into your vision!

Finally, we pride ourselves on our specialist categories - you will need to have an interest in both food and non-food and be willing to support the wider team.
