About the role

Customer Marketing Executive

Our journey began back in 1929. Since then, we’ve continued to build a strong and resilient business with a great future. It's why we believe we’re the best foodservice provider in the country.

Where has your journey taken you so far?

  • Are you a creative marketer that’s motivated by results?
  • Do you have a passion for turning insight into actionable resources for customers?
  • Are you interested in the food and drinks industry?

Then why not make our journey your journey?

Play an important part in our journey

The Sector Marketing team are responsible for developing sector and customer marketing strategies that reflect the latest consumer and market trends all with the goal of making our customers’ lives easier.

The purpose of this role is to support the creation of marketing campaigns designed to increase market share, drive revenue and support our customers’ growth plans. You’ll be tasked to support the team in creating and delivering innovative marketing plans designed help us win, grow and retain business.

You will work closely with the sales team and our customers to develop your knowledge of the industry and become an expert in your field. You will have the freedom to research, scope and create campaigns from the start to the very end and we’ll give you the support you need to grow your skills and develop. In addition, you will play a key role in supporting the wider marketing team’s campaign planning and delivery so it is a must that you’re a solid team player.

As the voice of the customer, you will be responsible for communicating throughout our business to ensure customers’ needs are placed first. This role gives you direct access to operators across the eating out market, and requires that you work with them face to face to understand their challenges and support their growth plans.

The role will require you to liaise closely with the sales team, the wider marketing team, category teams and the food development team.

What do you need to be successful?

Experience of developing marketing campaigns is desirable, plus an appetite to learn and develop your marketing skills. A Marketing degree or similar qualification is also desired but relevant experience will also be considered.

Creativity and strong organisational skills are a must for this role. You’ll need to bring your creative flair to the development of marketing material and innovative solutions for the customer. We work in a very deadline driven environment, so you’ll need to be highly organised to prioritise your workload, manage customer requests and drive your marketing plans at the same time.

You will need to be a confident presenter and excellent relationship builder with a personable approach. You’ll also need to be a skilled wordsmith as copywriting is a fundamental part of the role, so you’ll need to enjoy writing and have fantastic attention to detail, taking the time to proof your work thoroughly.

Finally, we pride ourselves on our foodie culture, so, of course you’ll need to have a keen interest in food!
