National Account Executive
Due to the growth and development of the National Account Healthcare, Education & Consortia Sector, this has provided an opportunity for a new and exciting position to be advertised for a National Account Executive
Reporting to Tom Emsley, the successful applicant will be responsible for the support and development of the sector supporting the National Account Managers for both existing and prospective clients
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Administrative Duties – support with completion of new product listing forms, agreement forms, change of terms, price calculators etc
Tender Support - support with added value documents, baskets, costing, credit checks etc
Prospecting – working in conjunction with the New Business Development team, to own and manage the prospecting process within the sectors contacting prospective customers, arranging appointments and maintaining the development of prospects within the sector including strategic pillar opportunities
Range Optimisation Control - to control and manage the Range Optimisation Control process within the sector focusing on reducing nominated/slow moving lines within the sectors/business
Customer Range Rationalisation - compare customer ranges to identify similar/suitable products which would drive commerciality and reduce products within the sectors
Quarterly Review Meeting Preparation - preparation of Quarterly Review meeting presentations/packs
Account Management – development and maintaining a small portfolio of accounts within the sector
Own Brand Focus - owning own brand switch project for the sector including benchmarking of pricing and specifications to drive incremental own brand penetration growth with measured and reviewed targets
To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and attributes:
- At least two years knowledge and experience of customer and contract management
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
- Decisive, assertive and persuasive in your communications internally and externally
- Analytical and commercially aware
- Extremely organised with the ability to work under pressure
The National Account Executive role is a perfect position for an individual who has the desire and drive to develop into a National Account Manager position in the future
A full driving licence is a prerequisite as there will be a requirement for travel throughout the country at different times, plus overnight accommodation as and when required.
