A bit about the role
You’ll be spending most of your day de-briefing drivers returning to the depot. This will mainly involve checking their paperwork and ensuring it has been filled in accurately and to the high standards required. The key element of this role is challenging the drivers if their paper work is not up to required standards and flagging this up to the on shift supervisors.
As well as de-briefing drivers you will be required to get involved in other administration tasks working closely with the transport management team. This may include duties like completing shift handovers; contacting drivers whilst out on the road and other elements of transport compliance.
A bit about you
You will have a methodical approach and keen eye for detail and accuracy. Knowledge of warehouse, transport and customer services process and procedures is key. Excellent communication skills. Be enthusiastic and have the ability to challenge bad practices. You will also be pro-active and able to work under your own initiative.
The ability to be flexible and able to work a rotated shift pattern if required.
