We are looking for a new member of our Central Supply Chain team based in Slough.
Supply Chain are a vital support function ensuring our depots have the right stock in, at the right time and at the right price. Our National Supply Chain Managers are responsible for developing relationships with all core range suppliers into Bidfood, to make sure we maintain and improve inbound service levels into depots and to manage and develop supply chain income.
The role will be based in Slough with occasional travel required. Hybrid working is also an option (mix of home and office working, with a minimum of 2 days in the office, can vary depending on requirements).
You will work proactively with our supplier base and depots to increase the flexibility and efficiency of our supply chain. This will mean increasing the quality of service that our suppliers provide to Bidfood, while removing complexity and cost at any opportunity. You will lead analysis and discussion on all route to market options for product into Bidfood, including management of existing consolidation schemes and the development of new options for stock delivery into our network. You will also work on increasing existing revenue streams, maximising efficiencies, and generating new ones.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Sound commercial knowledge to manage existing and develop new revenue streams.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and 3rd parties, while sustaining commercial advantages.
- Ability to identify new opportunities for streamlining, reducing cost and generating income through efficient supply chain delivery.
- Proven ability in managing and motivating direct and indirect reports to achieve the best results.
- Ability to work with, and positively influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong data and analysis skill set, including Microsoft Office package.
A track record of identifying opportunities, influencing key players at all levels both internal and external and confident at presenting and holding meetings in front of audiences will be essential.
